Hanukkah Deliveries Light-up People’s Lives
As part of Jewish Family Service’s long tradition, volunteers will pack and deliver Hanukkah food bags to homebound seniors and disabled adults on Monday, December 3, starting at 8:30 a.m. The local B'nai B'rith chapter underwrites the project each year, which is coordinated by Jewish Family Service of the Desert.
Hanukkah begins this year at sunset on December 4. The bags of traditional holiday delights includes latke mix, gefilte fish, chocolate gelt, grape juice and small menorahs.
The local non-profit aims to provide for the social-service needs of the Jewish and general community throughout the greater Coachella Valley with a commitment to promote the well-being of people of all ages, incomes and lifestyles.
