INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT
PROGRAM FOR YOUTH 12 18
(Palm Springs, CA, June 16) Jewish Family Service of the Desert is offering an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for teens with drug and alcohol problems and addictions. The program will consist of group therapy for the teens, ages 12 - 18, 12-Step type meetings and family group. Participants meet three afternoons a week for twelve weeks. The series is expected to continue throughout the year.
“We are offering a program that will address teen substance abuse issues that no one else in the Valley is addressing right now,” said Gladys Becker, director of clinical services. “The combination of intensive education and treatment, family involvement and the 12-Step Program will undoubtedly help many of our young people suffering with use, abuse and addiction with nowhere to get this type of treatment in the Valley.”
Meetings will be held at the JFS Palm Springs office, located at 801 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, Suite 202. Call Gladys Becker at 760-325-4088 for more information, beginning dates, and to register. Space is limited.
Jewish Family Service is a beneficiary of the Jewish Federation of Palm Springs and Desert Area and the United Way of the Desert.
