Volunteer Recogniton Luncheon
(Palm Desert, CA) More than fifty volunteers will be recognized at the annual Jewish Family Service Recognition Luncheon Thursday, April 10 at noon at The Atria Hacienda in Palm Desert.
“We hope this event shows our volunteers how appreciative we, at Jewish Family Service, are for all they do,” said Linda Zweig, JFS coordinator of volunteer services.
The JFS board of directors, “Friendly Visitors,” holiday packers and deliverers, Purim visitors to nursing homes and assisted living facilities, committee members, office assistants, para-professional counseling group leaders, “Big Pal” mentors, drivers, errand-runners and a photographer are all volunteers behind the success of Jewish Family Service of the Desert.
Jewish Family Service of the Desert provides for the social-service needs of the Jewish and general community throughout the greater Coachella Valley with a commitment to promote the well-being of people of all ages, incomes and lifestyles. Jewish Family Service offers low-cost counseling, in-home visits for homebound seniors, mentoring for youth and much more.
Tim Bruneau, a classically-trained singer and pianist and artistic director and conductor of the California Desert Chorale will provide entertainment for the event.
