Café Europa: A Social Gathering Place for Holocaust Survivors
Meets 2nd Monday of the Month
On Monday, January 12, guest speaker, Tim Pytell, an associate professor at California State University at San Bernardino, will lecture about Teaching the Holocaust in the 21st Century.
In addition, home schooled high school students from throughout Riverside County will be joining the survivors. Currently, these students are learning about World War II and the Holocaust in their studies.
“We are privileged to have many Holocaust survivors living in the Coachella Valley,” said Linda Zweig, volunteer coordinator for JFS. “We felt compelled to acknowledge these very important people and recognize their unique and historic contribution to humanity.”
