In the past few years, the highly acclaimed "One Night Only" has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local nonprofit organizations, while setting new standards for charity fundraising in the desert. We are delighted to announce that planning has begun for the 2008 production of "One Night Only", which will once again be produced by Michael Childers.

"One Night Only" has developed a reputation for delivering a powerful evening of entertainment. This past April, five time Emmy ® award winner Doris Roberts hosted the best of Broadway and Hollywood, including Stefanie Powers, Andrea Marcovicci, Bruce Vilanch, Sally Kellerman, and numerous other show stopping performers. The inaugural "One Night Only" in 2002 was hosted by the incomparable Lily Tomlin, featuring the talents of Lainie Kazan, Carol Channing, Rod McKuen and many others. 

Following the April 2007 production, Palm Springs Life reporter Gloria Greer stated, "Only Michael Childers with his impeccable taste, timing, and lifelong friendships with the creative greats from the theatre…could have produced this dazzling 2nd edition of 'One Night Only' - still the best show produced in the Coachella Valley." 

The third production of "One Night Only" is planned for Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the McCallum Theatre for the Performing Arts.

A VIP dinner reception will be held following the performance at Piero's Acqua Pazza at The River in Rancho Mirage. Barbara Fromm and Sherry Schor are pleased to serve as Event Co-Chairs. 

The beneficiary of this musical extravaganza will be Jewish Family Service of the Desert (JFS), a non-sectarian, non profit organization that provides an array of counseling and social services to those in need regardless of age, income, ethnicity or lifestyle. 

The mission of Jewish Family Service of the Desert (JFS) is to provide for the social service needs of the Jewish and general community throughout the greater Coachella Valley with a commitment to promote the well-being of people of all ages, incomes and lifestyles.
