Since 1999, Solutions For Seniors has assisted older adults in the Coachella Valley with vital advocacy and case management services. The program enables seniors to enjoy a higher quality of life while maintaining the greatest degree of independence possible.

Solutions for Seniors is open to those who are 60 and older of all faiths and economic levels. Many of the seniors in the program are homebound and live on a fixed income.

Our Case Managers work with seniors to:  

• obtain emergency financial assistance
• process forms for accessing public benefits, or medical and social services
• advocate with healthcare professionals
• coordinate medical care
• obtain transportation to medical or social service appointments
• assist with household budgeting and bill payment
• access local senior activities to decrease isolation
• provide information and referrals to available resources and services in the area.

Through participation in Solutions For Seniors, JFS can

• increase access to regular medical care, reducing the need for Emergency Room visits
• help prevent premature institutionalization
• help prevent financial or physical abuse, neglect or injury
• increase access to health and social services
• reduce feelings of isolation and depression
• reduce stress for caregivers and family members
